Surf Burger: Not Your Ordinary Burger Bar

Last Tuesday, my friend Karen and I had our unplanned food trip at Surf Burger. It was also her birthday that time. Well actually our barkada had included Surf Burger to one of our food bucket list, but unfortunately, our plan is always nauudlot.

It was our last day in school when Karen and I decided to had our late lunch-early dinner at quarter to 4pm. Before we went to Surf Burger, we first visited our friend Mollyn at their house to check on her because she had a fever. Keziah went to Manila naman while Sharmaine is at home, so it's a birthdate for Karen and I.

Here's the menu list..

I think we were too early when we came here 'cause as you can see in the picture, the customer was just me and Karen pa lang.

I love their interior concept which is actually inspired of Baler. You can just imagine the waves in Sabang beach at Baler with the big poster of the beach behind our table with a long surfboards--which they used as a table.

And this is what we had for our Lun-Ner (Mai-push lang haha)

Sabang; ₱190.00
'Twas a Seafood Pesto. I kinda like it but Karen didn't like the taste tho. It was sorta sour but I still did like it. Kulang lang sa toppings, I guess?

Tit-Tilaok, ₱170.00
And this is a Chicken Pasta. I expected more from this one but it tasted just like a Carbonara..

Karen's order is the Steak Burger; ₱280.00
It contains an egg, mojos and mushroom atop on the spam. Yung totoo, for breaky?

While mine is the Beer-Cheese Bacon; ₱280.00
The patty was really juicy and the onion rings is a thumbs up for me. It would be perfect na sana if they cooked the bacon really well and crunchy.

Mocha Shake; ₱120.00
And of course milkshake won't be out of our order. Ultimate fave!

Two thumbs up from us!

The birthday girl, Karen, enjoying her meal.

The ambiance was good, though it was very dark when we came there. The service was also a thumbs up 'cause the crews were very friendly and approachable. And the food was really great and yummy. So all in all, we're truly satisfied. We came in hungry and went home mightily full. Actually, we were not able to finish our pasta 'cause we're way too full na talaga so we took it home na lang. Hmm. Will definitely be back here-- and by that time, together with our whole barkada na.:)

So if you guys are into burgers, better try out Surf Burger for a new kind of burger experience. It would be better if you dine in here at night 'cause they have a live band or acoustic night every evening. Feel free to comment below and share your experience in Surf Burger. 'Til our next food trip!

P.S. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I just took it with my phone. I really did my best to edit it into a HQ but I guess my best wasn't good enough. Haha. It was an unplanned food trip kasi e that's why I wasn't able to bring my camera with me. Hihi.

Phillypinas the Artisanal Cheesesteak

At last I'm back again. Gosh it's been a month I guess since my last post. Been preoccupied with school stuffs that I didn't have time to make a blog. Plus I've been at home and school lang that's why I don't know what topic to post din. Anyway, just last Thursday, my best friend Angela and I had lunch at Phillypinas--'twas just around Taft. She introduced me here. I'm not into bread stuffs and everything (I'm a rice-y person BTW--and that explains my body built hahaha) but Angela let me try it. She said the food here is really good and she have been here for like 3 times already. Di nga nya bet... Hahaha.

The counter..

And the menu..

Cheese Grater lamp.. How cute can that be? This was the first thing that got my attention when we got here. Hahaha.

While we're waiting... Selfie time 'cause we barely see each other due to school works.

And this is what we ordered..
Onion Rings, ₱120.00
'Twas a big onion ring, and by big I mean real big!

The Original Philly Cheesesteak, ₱230.00
This 90-incher sandwich was a bomb! It almost made me give up food. Chos. But really, the price was worth it 'cause you can share it with a friend and you two can still be full. The steak was chewy and genuinely tasteful. You can really taste the bell peppers and onions on it. Plus the cheese!

Vanilla Milkshake, ₱120.00
Just got this photo from Phillypinas official website 'cause I forgot to take a picture of it due to I was so excited to gulp it down. Talk about being so masiba. Hahaha! The milkshake was also the bomb that I wanted to order another one for take out. Hehe. It has a two cookies and cream peppero sticks and a cinnamon sprinkle at the top of the whipped cream. Yum!

Even though I'm not a fan of sandwich and breadery stuffs, I can say that I am truly satisfied with Phillypinas' meal. 'Twas a gratifying escapade even though it was really hot when we went there. Their aircon was not fully chilling. But at least we enjoyed our dining experience! :) Will definitely go back there. So for American food lovers out there, better try Phillypinas. Include it on your food escapade bucketlist--if ever you have one like us. Hahaha.
