Dong Juan!

I'm baaaack! It's been weeks since my last post.. Sorry I wasn't able to update this blog from time to time because I was busy going to the gym. Hahaha. Yes, you read it right! Just last 2 weeks, I decided to shed some pounds 'cause I want a change for myself naman. Anyways, last Monday, my high school bestfriends and I agreed to meet and have lunch at Dong Juan in Mother Ignacia.

My uber pretty friend Kacy introduced us to this restaurant. Actually, our first choice was RUB Ribs & BBQ, but since we wanted to try a new and unique Filipino cuisine.. We gave it a shot!

A stairway to the 2nd floor... Reminds me of the Eat, Pray, Love movie of Julia Roberts. :)

View from our sit... Our table was just beside the stairs on the way to the 2nd floor.

When we entered here, my friends and I were curious why most of the tables here are for 3 people. For the third-wheeler? Hahaha. But really, we were inquisitive and intrigued why.

 Details..

Lemon Iced Tea; ₱39.00

And for our appetizer, I ordered Onion Rings; ₱169.00

We think it's a bit overpriced but we enjoyed it na lang since the onion rings were big. Haha.

And for our main course, Angela and I ordered Baby Back Ribs; ₱289.00

The ribs were a thumbs up for me 'cause just like what I want in a ribs, it falls off from the bone. Plus the BBQ sauce was good too. It has a lots of tendon (litid), but because I don't like tendon that much, I just put it aside.

I wasn't able to take a clear solo picture of the Burger Steak which is Kacy and Alyssa's order.. But the good thing is I was able to take a picture of our order..

Burger Steak; ₱149.00
I was able to savor the burger steak, and I could say that it's one of the best burger patty I've ever tasted. The patty was really juicy and big, to think that it's just ₱149.00! Will definitely order this when we go back here.

And before we left, I was amazed on this not-your-ordinary-single-sink-faucet. For you to get to wash off your hands, you need to step on the button (IDK what it's called) then voila! The water will pour on the sink. Amazeballlllls!

To wrap it up, our experience here was great. Though we really had a hard time calling a staff/waiter 'cause our table were somehow secluded, like a mini private room. But the ambiance was marvelous, it's like we're just having a lunch at a house. And these are the kind of aura that I want in a restaurant--chilling and a great place to catch up with my friends. I will certainly come back here again.

BTW, Dong Juan's first branch was in Cebu. It was established last 2008.
'Till our next food trip! :)
